RV Road Laws - 2011

Size limitations: Height, 13'6"; Width, 8'6"; Trailer length, 53'; Motorhome length, 45'; Combined length, not stated. Over length permit is not available.

Required Equipment: Breakaway switch, safety chain, flares or reflective signs, fire extinguisher in RV, brakes on trailers over 3,000 pounds gross weight. Lights and wipers on under necessary conditions. Class D license for motorhomes under 26,000 pounds, Classified Class E over 26,000 pounds; Classified Class F over 26,000 pounds and towing (knowledge/skills test required for Class E and Class F license).

Triple towing is not allowed. Passengers may ride in pickup camper only. Overnight parking in state rest areas is "as posted".
